Uninsured & untraced driver accidents

If you have suffered an injury in a road traffic accident and the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident was either uninsured or left the scene of the accident (untraced), you may be able to claim compensation for the injuries you have suffered.

The Motor Insurance Bureau (MIB) is an organisation set up to compensate victims of uninsured and untraced drivers.

The process differs from a conventional road traffic accident claim in that, for these types of cases, it is necessary to make an application to the MIB, which can take longer to deal with.

Our legal team will ensure that the necessary documentation is completed and that your application is processed with the minimum of inconvenience to you.

In most cases an application to the MIB can be done on a no win-no fee basis. However, in cases where the driver is untraced, a Contingency Fee may need to be entered into. If this is the case then our legal team will discuss this with your, before we begin progressing your claim.
